A: CafeScribe licenses learning materials from textbook publishers and authors. Our licensing agreement requires us to place limitations on copying, pasting and printing digital learning materials. These access controls are called Digital Rights Management, or DRM.

A: CafeScribe integrates easily with Blackboard® release 9.0 and higher. The CafeScribe Blackboard Building Block™ can be downloaded by your campus system administrator at the Blackboard® client support website. The Blackboard Learn™ plug-in allows you to stay in your learning environment while accessing your course materials.
A: No. CafeScribe digital textbooks do not include media (e.g., CDs, DVDs, Access Codes, etc.) or print supplements that may be packaged or bundled with print books.
A: Publishers do not always have legal permission to include third party photos, charts, case studies or graphics in the CafeScribe edition of their books. In these cases, the content is replaced with a message stating “Text not available due to copyright restrictions” or “Content not available due to copyright restrictions”.
