Q: How do I read my digital textbook?

A: To access your activated titles...

  1. Log in to the CafeScribe Reader at https://reader.cafescribe.com.
  2. Locate your book in the “My Bookshelf” page.
  3. Click on the title.
  4. Start reading!
Q: What are the technical specifications for use on a computer?

A: You need to use a computer that has a browser which supports the latest version of Adobe® Flash® Player and supports a minimum resolution of 1024x768 within the viewable browser area (a monitor resolution of 1280x800 is optimal).

Q: I'm having trouble opening my book. Am I doing it right?

A: Your digital textbook displays on your bookshelf after purchase and activation. Simply click on the digital textbook cover to open it.

Contact CafeScribe Technical Support if a digital textbook you purchased and activated is not displayed on your bookshelf.

Q: The book I purchased does not show up on my bookshelf. What should I do?

A: Activate your digital textbook after purchasing it. Digital textbooks purchased from your campus online bookstore have instructions in the email receipt. Digital textbooks purchased in your campus bookstore have an activation code/PIN on the receipt. Follow these steps:

  1. Access the CafeScribe Reader https://reader.cafescribe.com.
  2. Log in.
  3. Click the “Activate Book(s)” button.
  4. Enter your activation code/PIN.
  5. Click the magnifying glass icon to find your textbook.
  6. Select your textbook.
  7. Click the “Activate Book(s)” button in the lower right corner and your digital textbook is ready to use.

Important: Contact support@cafescribe.com or call 1-877-612-2233, select option 1 if the digital textbook does not display on your bookshelf.
