| How can I use MyScribe to summarize my notes? |
|
You've spent weeks annotating your documents and it's time to prepare for an exam or presentation. The MyScribe AutoSummary function allows you to view just the portions of text that you and your peers annotated. Opening AutoSummaryYou can access the AutoSummary view of your document by clicking on the AutoSummary button on the toolbar: Understanding the AutoSummary ViewBy default, the AutoSummary view will display all your highlights, notes, and any SharedNotes or BestNotes that appear within your book as pictured below. The AutoSummary view also includes the pen name, pen color, and page location of the annotation in the text. You can page through the AutoSummary view using the arrow controls on the toolbar or the keyboard arrow keys.
Filter the Notes Displayed in AutoSummaryYou can filter the SharedNotes and BestNotes by clicking on the Inbox button on the toolbar and unchecking the SharedNotes and BestNotes checkboxes on the upper right of the Inbox. You can also remove notes from particular users by using the SharedNotes Options dialog. You can also filter your own annotations by pen name. For example, you may only want to exclude your "Follow-up" notes from the AutoSummary view. To do this click on the arrow to the right of the AutoSummary label and remove the checkbox next to the "Follow-up" label. Any custom pens will also be included in this view. |
